Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Wow!! It's hard to believe that 2 years ago today I became the mother of triplets. Our world has been in an uproar ever since. After ten weeks on bedrest, five at home and five in the hospital, our triplets were born at 8:16, 8:19, and 8:19 in the morning. They were born at just over 34 weeks and were in the NICU for 11 and 19 days. They don't look like preemies anymore.

We're going to their favorite restaurant for dinner per family tradition: CiCi's pizza (one of the few restaurants they still allow us to enter). We're celebrating with our church family on Sunday and we're bbqing at our house next Saturday as it's been rainy and drizzly and promises to continue throught the weekend.

It's hard to believe how big they've gotten. I'm still coming to grips with having triplets and they're already 2 years old!!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! This was the first Easter where the triplets got to participate. It was cute. Denise put all of the eggs she found into Miguelito's bucket. I will post pics and maybe video tomorrow.

Triplets are a Blessing (right?)

Ok, having a set of triplets about to turn two and a baby who just turned one, keeps us all very busy! Yes they are a blessing, but sometimes I have to remind myself of that fact. They are amazing to watch (when they aren't tearing up the house)! When one gets in trouble, one or both of the other two are there to tell you off, even if it was one of them that got offended. They really take care of each other. They share best with each other and then, maybe, with the baby. I don't really know how, but they even understand each other. One will say something unintelligible to me and the others will seem to know exactly what they are saying.
One of my favorite things about having triplets is that even though they are so united as a group, their personalities are all so very different. My next few blogs will feature each of them and tell you a little about their personalities.

This is Hector. He's in 6th grade band and plays the Euphonium. He's also learning to play the guitar. He's very artistic as well. He puts my drawing to shame (easy to do).

This is Juanito at husband's uncle's house in Mexico.

Miguelito was my husband's grandmother's favorite triplet. This pic was taken at Thanksgiving in 2009. Date stamp is wrong. She passed away March 17 while we were in Mexico visiting her. We will miss her.

Who we are

Hi, my name is Sonya. Maybe I'm starting to blog rather late, but I didn't know how to get started. I have a son, Hector, who is 12. I have BBG triplets that will be 2 on April 16. Their names are Juan Alfredo (Juanito), Miguel Angel (Miguelito) and Denise. I also have a baby that I call my surprise baby because I didn't think I could get pregnant without infertility meds and apparently I can. She just turned one a couple of weeks ago. I will post pics next time.
